Why everyone should start their own blog.
I finally took the leap. I created my own website. I bought the domain with my name and started creating.
Why did I do it?
Well, why not? I’ve always believed in learning by doing. I wanted to explore new skills, including storytelling, finance, blockchain, and even web development, while also documenting my thoughts and learnings. For me, writing is not only a way to master a subject by explaining it to others but also a way to express and organize my own thoughts.
But why share this publicly instead of keeping it in a private journal?
As Naval says, if you take action and you put your name out there, if you take risks, society will reward you. Publishing this blog could lead to unexpected opportunities: connecting with interesting people, standing out to companies when I apply for jobs, or simply refining my own voice.
And if none of that happens? I’m okay with that too. Whenever I face a decision, I ask myself: What’s the worst that could happen? Most of the time, the answer is not much. And that’s all the reason I need to give it a try. Again, what’s the worst that could happen?
